Greetings and welcome to my blog! My name is Lyndsay Lambert, and my heart’s desire is for this blog to be an encouragement to younger women, as Paul directed in Titus 2:3-5.
When I was a young mom with four children five-years-old and younger, I cried out to God for an older woman who would come alongside me, maybe put her arms around me and just tell me, “This too shall pass.” I looked for someone who could help me understand how to be a godly mother and raise children who would most likely follow the Lord. When I didn’t find the person I felt I so desperately needed, I promised God that, if I lived to be an older woman, I would obey those verses in Titus and be an encouragement to those who are younger.
Well, I made it! I am now in my sixties, my children are grown, and I currently have seven grandchildren. We graduated all of our children from our home school, and I am so grateful that they are all following the Lord. Over the years I’ve been able to be that “older woman” in different ways, but it hasn’t always looked like I expected. This blog is no different. Little did I know in the early ‘80s, when I made that promise to God, that I might be able to reach out to moms who lived in other places through such a medium.
My hope and prayer is that this blog will encourage you to be the woman that God has called you to be!
